I didn't come here to sleep so much as just to sit around. The room was stuffy and smelled, the bed was hard, and the pillows looked dirty. There was a cloth with someone else's hair on the table when I checked in. The blanket was like a regular throw, and people talked and played music outside the window all night. Awful hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. For the price, the amenities and location are good, right by Busan station and among larger hotels, so it felt fairly safe at night. The bed was a little hard and uncomfortable, and some noise carried at night. Still, it was great value and I can't complain at that price.

The best part is the location: Busan Station is right there, with high-speed rail, high-speed buses, and the subway. The alley by Dongyo Inn is about a two-minute walk. I stayed in first-floor room 102. It seems to have been converted from a motel, and there's enough room to open a 20-28 inch suitcase against the wall. The pajamas were decent quality and nicely packed. The room had a kettle, 3-in-1 coffee maker, cup, fridge, table and chairs, clothes rack, and a desktop computer with keyboard that I couldn't turn on. There were dried bloodstains on the floor. I didn't use the comb, hairspray, and other items. The hairdryer was more powerful than a Dacin brand one, though the wallpaper beside it was torn. The three large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash smelled nice. Two soap bars had already-opened packaging and were left under the sink and showerhead. The shower sprays very strongly and splashes water around the bathroom. It takes a long time for the water to warm up, and it only gets lukewarm. The bathtub is very large, but there's no wet-dry separation or screen, so water pools on the floor and you need to watch your step getting out. The room has two doors and the soundproofing was decent, with no hallway noise. There are no curtains, but the windows are blacked out and airtight, so no light comes through. The AC wasn't very cold, and its switch is on the TV remote. Wi-Fi was free, fairly fast, and stable. Towels, blankets, sheets, and pillowcases were old and a little yellowed. There were lots of outlets, but bring an adapter. At check-in, they put three bottles of water and a toiletries kit in the fridge. I booked Thursday to Saturday for two nights, and paid $2069 including tax. For that price, there isn't much to complain about.

The location is excellent, and at around 800 HKD a night the price is actually good if you can live with a few things: the lighting is dim, there are mosquitoes, and you can hear music and TV from downstairs. There were dead mosquitoes on the walls, and they did leave insecticide in the room. We could also hear the TV playing below us. One thing I'd really suggest is giving your check-in time when you book. We arrived around 9 PM and nobody was at the counter. A sign said to call, another said to knock on the window or door. We only had internet, no phone service, and knocked for about ten minutes with no answer. In the end we asked the elderly man next door to contact the owner, who lived on the second floor. We got checked in eventually, but that would've been exhausting after a long trip.

The whirlpool tub was especially relaxing, and the bathroom reminded me of the Western Chosun Hotel. The bedding was clean and the staff were very friendly. It was a cold night, but the heater was on and I slept warmly. Great value, and I'd highly recommend it.
