Hotel Illua

The rooms were clean and pleasant, the mattress comfortable, and the staff helpful. For the best view, book an ocean-view room. It’s beautiful by day and at night. The hotel is good value, and the uphill walk to the beach and bus stop takes a few minutes, but it’s manageable.

We stayed as a family for four nights. The staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English, and the rooms were comfortable. The location is fantastic, with useful facilities in and around the hotel, and the value for money is amazing. I only wish there were a bar for the evenings. Best place to stay in Busan.

The view was great, but that was about the only thing I liked. We spent one night in the deluxe ocean view room, and although it was clean and neat, the mattress was awful, hard like cardboard, and I could feel every movement of the springs. Noise came through the walls and floors, from upstairs and outside our room. The floor was cold, and the heating didn’t seem to warm it properly. Maybe it suits someone after a budget hotel with a good view, but I’m sure I won’t return.

It’s fairly close to mipo skycapsule station, so I’d recommend staying here if you’re going to the sky capsule station. The hotel is up a hill and a bit farther from the bus stop, though, which meant a lot of walking. I wouldn’t recommend it in winter when it’s too cold.
