Hotel Marcher

The room was very quiet and clean, the bathroom was nice, and the staff were respectful, efficient, and helpful. The location worked well too. The beds, though, were rock hard. We managed for one night, but guests who aren't used to floor-like surfaces could really use mattress toppers. Lighting was poor, with nothing by the bed and no good light for makeup or shaving. Some lights switched on together, with no separate controls. That would be annoying for a longer stay. Since it was a long weekend, the price was _super_ high.

We were there for five nights from late November into early December, and it was a comfortable stay. The staff deserve a special thank you. They were kind, looked after what we needed, and made us feel at ease. Jalgachi Station was about a seven-minute walk away. There were lots of places to eat, cafes, markets, and convenience stores nearby, and it was easy to get a cab right outside the hotel.

The room was modern, roomy, and very clean, and the nightly price felt like excellent value. I especially enjoyed the spa bath and its soothing hot water. There was also a desktop computer with internet access, an unusual and thoughtful feature, though we didn't need to use it. We arrived to a very friendly gentleman at reception, who kindly helped with our luggage. The hotel sits among plenty of food spots and markets, just the kind of area I like, and there's a 7/11 right outside. I had a great experience and would happily stay here again or recommend it.

The cleaning staff did a great job getting our room clean and organized, and the service was exceptional. The room itself was nice and clean too. The location is hard to beat. Street food, bars, restaurants, and food stalls are all around, with two traditional markets just around the corner. BIFF square is a 5-10 minute walk, and the seafood market is walkable too. There's a 7-11 next door and a CU across the street, plus several inexpensive local places to eat to the right of the hotel.
