Getting around was easy, and there were restaurants and cafes less than five minutes away on foot. The staff were kind and helpful, most of them spoke English, and the service was among the best I’ve had at a hotel in Korea. It’s a great base for a sightseeing weekend, and I’d definitely come back.

The property looks impressive, and our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The bay views were gorgeous, and the staff were professional, polite, and attentive. But the cost was hard to justify given the location and the limits on amenities. There’s very little within walking distance. Restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and what most people would call “the action” are about a 30-minute trip away. One night we tried the hotel restaurant and were told it was full and needed a reservation. That’s understandable, but with few alternatives nearby it was a real hassle. The on-site restaurants are also quite overpriced, so there aren’t many reasonable choices if you haven’t planned ahead. I picked the hotel mainly for its pool and spa, which were prominently featured as amenities. The general pool hours appeared during booking, but the tattoo restriction wasn’t clearly disclosed there. I had to find a separate pool and spa webpage to learn that tattoos weren’t allowed. As an international hotel under an American brand, I didn’t expect this, especially given how Korean attitudes toward tattoos have evolved. I’ve personally used Korean spas without any issue. The policy should have been plainly stated when guests were deciding whether to book. I’m a Wyndham Diamond member, and my membership includes free pool and spa access. Those facilities usually cost extra, which is already disappointing at this room rate. Even with the membership benefit, I was turned away solely because I have tattoos. I paid a premium, much more than I would have for places closer to restaurants and entertainment, specifically for the pool. After being denied access, I asked for Wyndham points as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience, not cash. The hotel refused, saying the tattoo restriction was “policy” and therefore not discriminatory, despite the fact it hadn’t been clearly disclosed when I booked. Being denied access because of tattoos is discrimination by definition. These rules come from outdated associations between tattoos and criminality or gangs. Tattoos have cultural, religious, and personal meanings around the world, and it’s 2026. Guests shouldn’t need to dig through secondary webpages to find policies that affect whether they can use advertised amenities. Wyndham and this hotel should make the rule clear on the main booking page. The property is beautiful and the staff are excellent, but the location is inconvenient, food and add-on fees are expensive, and the pool and spa access policy wasn’t transparent. The premium price didn’t come with premium inclusivity or value. The hotel looks good compared with others in the area, but the high cost and limited amenities I could actually use made it difficult to justify. I’d recommend it only to people who don’t care about the pool or spa, don’t have tattoos, and don’t mind traveling a long way for dining and entertainment.

The beach, restaurants, and shops are all a short walk away, and the hotel itself feels modern, stylish, and luxurious. I loved the room and bathroom views, and breakfast was fresh, with barista-made coffee. The staff were extremely friendly, maybe almost too attentive for some people. Still, I expected more from a five-star hotel. The room was tiny and hard to move around in, and the double bed was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept in. I had a really poor night’s sleep. Breakfast was a letdown too, especially for the price. Most of it seemed to be premade food reheated in a small oven, and the pastries weren’t even decent. There were also pool restrictions I hadn’t been told about before arriving. Guests can use the pool only once per day, including sessions. That felt unfair and unrealistic for the premium rates. I was disappointed by the comfort, service, and lack of clear information. The stay didn’t live up to a five-star standard.

We had a great stay at Wyndham Busan. Our room was very clean and high quality, with a breathtaking view of the harbor and bridge. It’s also a short walk to the Songdo Crystal Cable Car. The concierge gave us recommendations for facial and hair shops, and they turned out to be very professional and satisfying. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel in Busan.

Songdo Beach and the cable cars are only a five-minute walk away, and room service was delicious, quick, and convenient when I ordered breakfast and dinner. I stayed three nights in a gorgeous Premier Corner King Room and especially loved the views and beautiful bathroom. The coffee and tea selection in the room was good too. Everyone I met, from reception and the lobby team to housekeeping and room service, was helpful, respectful, professional, and friendly. English was widely spoken. When I had a small issue with the shower drain, they fixed it immediately. The hotel felt like a home away from home. I’m already missing the place and its staff, and I’d gladly return and recommend it.
