Huracle Resort

We spent five hours at the water park and had a fantastic time. The indoor and outdoor activities were a great mix, and the spa was lovely for relaxing. Some outdoor slides hadn’t opened yet, but there was still plenty to do. You could buy towels, life vests, chairs or cabanas, and food there. We’re vegetarians and were glad to see vegetarian choices, though we brought our own food for the day. My daughter loved it. Hours were 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, which gave us lots of time. Staff were very helpful and made things easy. It might feel a little pricey, but there’s a half-off discount during your birthday month and for children under three. We can’t wait to return. At the resort, breakfast being included made mornings stress-free, and the large room was comfortable. The TV was only in the small living area, not in the bedrooms. Our first room had no AC or closet, and the towels were more like tiny face towels. Having a kitchen helped, since we could make meals during our two-night stay. There wasn’t housekeeping during that short visit, but that was fine. The karaoke rooms, two amusement games, and kid's zone kept everyone entertained. No laundry room or ironing board, though I didn’t need to iron. The hotel superette stayed open all night and took card payments. The stay was excellent, and I’d recommend it to people looking for comfortable accommodations and amenities while traveling.

Being close to the Independence Hall of Korea, about a five-minute drive, was a big reason this resort appealed to us. Rooms were acceptable, though it mostly caters to families with young children. We were four adults staying in mid-November. The lobby has indoor activities like virtual sports gaming and an indoor maze, which stay open when the water park is closed for the season, but they aren’t free. Getting to the front desk from the free parking lot was awkward. Access to the driveway beside the lobby desk was blocked, so we had to park, take an elevator up a tower, then walk another 100-200 meters through a connecting walkway to check in. Luggage carts were at the desk, not by parking. We had to carry our bags there for a cart, or bring one back to the car after checking in. It was difficult for us, but we managed. The room got quite hot at night, and there was no remote for the fan or AC. Apparently they collect all the room AC remotes in winter. It took two calls before someone finally brought one. With the awkward layout and unavailable amenities we ran into, larger groups may want to reconsider staying here.

The buffet had lots of tasty choices, and the mountain view was great. The room felt a bit dated, but it was good value for a resort.

There’s a superette inside the hotel that’s open all night, but it only takes cards. Just outside there’s also a 7eleven and a bakery/restaurant across from the hotel. Breakfast was super, and the room was a good size, though the futons were too thin and the towels were like face towels. There’s a kitchen, but you have to take out your own trash. Karaoke rooms and two amusement game rooms are available, but there’s no laundry room or ironing board.
