I’ve stayed here a few times now, including last year and again this year. The rooms have been clean and tidy, and I find it good value. They provide a simple breakfast for everyone, too. I came back on a Wednesday evening without looking for another place, and the room was clean again, though the bathroom let me down a bit, so I gave it only 3 stars. On another recent business trip to Cheongju, I stayed one night and will probably use this place again for work trips. I still wonder whether Cheongju has better restaurants than Sanggak, or if I just haven’t found them. I was looking for meat for dinner and ended up having galbi sat nearby. My friend recommended kalguksu for tomorrow, but I’m not expecting much.

I liked the clean room, and the value for money is excellent. The indoor parking area only fits five cars, but there’s an outdoor lot connected to Roa if you drive around once. The indoor lot also has instant ramen and bottled water, which is handy.

Some rooms have a cigarette smell, so it seems to depend on which one you get. The room I had was clean. There’s plenty of parking at the Nonghyup lot behind the building, and water, coffee, and ramen are available on the first floor.
