Hotel Adel

I liked it.

There was an elevator, and the place felt quiet. The owner, an older man, was kind and had a lovely smile. Getting around was easy, with the station and department stores very close and a 7-Eleven right across the street. My room was tidy, the bed was comfortable without being too soft, and the underfloor heating kept it really warm. The toiletries were useful, smelled nice, and included a basic set. There was a hairdryer in the room, and guests could help themselves to bottled water and corn silk tea on the first floor. Great value for Cheongju, and I'd happily recommend it to travelers.

Being near the terminal meant there were plenty of places to eat nearby. My room was small but had what I needed, including a game console that kept me entertained in my downtime. Cleaning was neat and decent. Apparently they can make ramen if you ask, but no one told me at check-in, so I missed out on that.

I liked how quiet it was, and the electric blanket kept me warm through the snowy, cold early morning. The room was clean, including the bedding and bathroom. It's near Gagyeong Market entrance, across from the Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal and Lotte Mart. Despite the hotel label, it felt like a regular neighborhood motel, though a clean one. You need your own account for Netflix. The market entrance has a food area with Kimbap Cheonguk and Lotteria, so it was easy to grab food or snacks even on my own. I booked in the Yanolja app and got 10,000 won off with the walking special rate. Since parking is limited, they seem to have these rates for people arriving on foot. Rooms go quickly, so book early in the evening. I'd stay here again next time I need a place.
