Bella Stay Hotel

The location is handy, right in the city center near Chuncheon Station, and the price was very reasonable. The concierge area was spacious and clean, the room was tidy, and the staff were very friendly. My family and I enjoyed our stay, and I'm grateful to the hotel team. There was one uncomfortable incident in the underground parking lot on our way home. A woman in Buddhist robes smiled, put her hands together, and made an offering. I remembered she'd passed by the day before saying to receive blessings. We follow a different religion and don't believe in it, so I asked her to leave. She came to the car, smiled, and made a swiping motion with her hand. I also saw her when I parked at check-in and when I checked out, so she seems to be around often. I feel a little sorry for the hotel management.

It's a good deal, and I'm mostly satisfied. Since it's new, the place is clean, though I did find hair on the floor and in the bathroom, which was annoying.

We stayed downtown in a newly built place with a washing machine and a large refrigerator, which was my favorite part since I bring a lot of food. There were no beds in the room, just futons, but the hotel-style bedding was more comfortable than a yoga mat. Our family of four, including teenagers, had one queen-size futon and two single-size ones. I was happier with that setup than I would have been with a room with beds. We paid 15,000 won on-site for breakfast. The beef bulgogi, quail eggs, pickled octopus, and stir-fried anchovies were delicious, with two kinds of fruit, flakes, and bread as well. I like kimchi, so I was disappointed they only had green onion kimchi. ㅜㅜ I ended up having a small meal.

It's within a 10-minute drive of Myeongdong Street, and the room itself looked like the company photos, though it had a new-building smell. Parking is free across basement levels 1, 2, and 3. Amenities aren't included and cost 3,000 won. For the price, the room is decent if they improve cleaning and customer service. The check-in process took over 15 minutes, and they asked for ID and a physical card. Another guest was complaining while I checked in. When we entered the room, there was foreign matter in the toilet, so it felt like they weren't prepared for guests. The room was freezing. It has individual heating, but even after turning on the boiler, 20 minutes later it was still too cold to take my clothes off. When I switched to the room next door, they told me to come downstairs for the key, then made me go back up. I don't know if the person was staff or the owner, and they were kind, but the service was clumsy and took too long.
