Hotel Bentley

For me, this is the best hotel in Chuncheon.

The room was clean, with an AirDresser, a fairly large refrigerator, a PC, a table, and two chairs. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and disposable toiletries are supplied. The hairdryer is a little weak, but it works. We also got three bottles of water and two cans of cola. There’s an E-Mart 24 on the first floor and a nicely decorated rooftop on the eighth, which was pleasant to use. I was given movie tickets when I booked, but one came from an unfamiliar company that required a separate 30% deposit for the first ticket. That made me feel they’d have been better off not giving the tickets at all.

I was surprised at first by the motel district around the hotel, but the room and rooftop helped make up for it. The room was spacious, with a Styler and a large TV, and the front desk staff were friendly. On the eighth floor, the rooftop has tables and chairs, nice lighting, and soft Starbucks-style music. It was a pleasant, trendy spot to have a beer. An E-mart Every24 downstairs was convenient, and they said it stays open until 3 a.m. I also got free movie tickets as a Children’s Day gift.

The TV and PC are definitely good. The bathroom and shower setup, towels, and supplies are decent by motel standards, but they don’t feel hotel-level. At this price, I’d expect this kind of equipment, and you can find a basic motel with much better facilities for the same money. It feels more like a nice motel than a hotel. If a nice motel is what you’re after, I’d recommend it.
