The room is spacious enough for a one-night stay, and that big refrigerator seems ideal for filling with alcohol and drinking as much as you like. This seems like a good spot for men to drink and have fun. There was a slight cigarette smell in both the room and the bedding, though. I’d think carefully before bringing children.
The barbecue grill was the one positive thing I could think of. I questioned whether the place was worth 120,000 won, and on reflection, it wasn’t. Walking into the first-floor accommodation felt eerie. The glass door of the abandoned restaurant creaked open, and inside there was damp flooring and no rooms. Apart from a CRT TV, there was nothing else.
At 250,000 won a night, this place is dirty and the owner is rude. The pillows and blankets smelled like they’d been tied together, and I couldn’t tell whether the floor or table had ever been cleaned. I don’t know if it’s like this elsewhere, but the owner’s rude way of speaking seems to be a local specialty. The restaurant owner next door spoke the same way. Haha, it feels like they’re just trying to sell their goods on sheer nerve. I won’t go back.
The owner is friendly and personally suggests nearby restaurants, even making reservations for you. The facilities are a little dated, but the pension isn’t expensive. It’s worth staying a night or so.
It’s affordable, a decent size, and good value. Buy the recommended dakgalbi and grill it at the pension, and you can have really delicious dakgalbi for a low price.
