There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by, and the location is perfect. Getting into the hotel was confusing, though. The ground-floor hotel door was locked, and the only lift entrance is on the building’s right side. At first it looked more like the entrance to a medical beauty clinic. The lobby is on the 4th floor. Our room was also on 4, beside the canteen, and the strong ramen smell from breakfast woke us up every morning. The room and bathroom were spacious, but the bed wasn’t very comfortable. The air-conditioning blew straight at our faces while we slept, with no way to adjust the fan speed. It also shut off automatically once the room reached the set temperature, leaving it stuffy, so we had to wake up and lower the temperature to keep it running.

The room is great, but this was the worst breakfast I’ve ever seen. Instant noodles at 40c, bad bread, and plain cereal, with no cutlery except a plastic spoon. They’d be better off not offering it. You can eat better at a convenience store for 3 euros.

The rooms are roomy, and there’s even a dust-collecting area. For the same price, it’s much bigger than the Donghyung Inn. The hotel opened in 2024 and seems to share a building with commercial and residential spaces, with hotel rooms on only some floors, I think 4-6. Banwol-dang is about a 5-minute walk away, and the shopping district is right downstairs. They have a mini-bar with bread, milk, and instant noodles, which can save you money on a meal or two. I’d probably book again if I come back to Daegu. It’s great, though I’m worried it might close in a few years, so I’m leaving a review 😂
