We were staying overnight as a family, and I’ve been to plenty of places as good as or better than LOTTE. I’d never come across a 50,000 won charge for checking in early, though. That seemed pretty absurd, so I politely said, “No thank you,” and hung up. I probably won’t go out of my way to book LOTTE hotels after this.

Breakfast on the top floor had lots of tasty choices for different tastes, and the staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help. Our room was spacious, modern, and well equipped, with lovely city views. The location made it easy to get around and explore Daejeon. A really comfortable and convenient stay.

The breakfast had a nice view, with plenty of good choices. It’s a convenient hotel, and for the price I’m giving it five stars. For a large chain, the service could use some effort, though it was decent by Korean standards.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in mid Jan 2025. The heating is centrally controlled, and it made the room far too hot for a good night’s sleep. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they did their best and brought us a standing fan. I still had to leave the windows open overnight to cool the room. Aside from that, we were happy with everything, and I’d stay here again when I’m in Daejeon.

The view takes in a bridge, tower, fountain, and convention center. The hotel is downtown and close to attractions, and there’s a convenience store, pharmacy, restaurant, and craft beer across the street. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed, blanket, and bathtub. Breakfast had Korean and Western food, plus salad. I liked the noodle soup and salad.
