The Shourin in Daejeon

They said four pillows were wet with plain water and wanted us to pay for them. They also offered a discount if we paid outside the rental app. A discount for supposed damage?

It's warm and clean. I love it!

The staff were friendly during my visit, and I slept comfortably without any major problems. The room was very clean and newly renovated, but the building itself was old. There was a sewer smell from the bathroom, though it seems the situation may differ a bit from room to room. It's not downtown, so getting there is difficult without a car.

The room itself was small and plain, with the bed almost beside the TV. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, there was no PC, and the bathroom was nothing special and had no bidet. Signs of an older place that had been remodeled showed up everywhere, from the front desk and first-floor lounge to the rooms, and the facilities felt poor. At 55,000 won for a weekend night, it was very poor value. I doubt it's worth a weekend rate like other hotels, and I won't be back. As for the parking lot, I'll leave it at that.
