We had a great time, and the underfloor heating worked well. It took around 10-20 minutes to drive from Donghae City to the pension. Inside was fairly clean and had plenty of basics: mosquito repellent, a dustpan, cutlery, pots, a fridge, a vacuum cleaner, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The central pool was closed in late September. There were lots of chestnut trees around, so we picked quite a few, and my parents enjoyed themselves too. By the parking lot at the entrance, water flows nearby, though I'm not sure whether it will still be there after the summer rainy season. The stairs are steep. We also used the barbecue area, which was about 30,000 won for three people, but check with them first.

The building is old, and I didn't think it was particularly good value either. The road to the pension is narrow and rough, so heavy snow could leave you stranded. Since the barbecue area is outside, grilling in winter would be freezing. I really wouldn't recommend coming here in winter.

Papa Pension was spotless and looked just like its beautiful photos, with a lovely fairytale feel and a color palette that worked perfectly. I had worried the real place might disappoint after seeing the pictures, but it was just right for the healing trip I'd been looking forward to. The owner was kind, and I had a wonderful stay. Thanks, Papa, for the great memories. I'd love to come back.

The stream was so clean, with fish and clams, and just right for dipping your feet in. The pool was especially big and great too. Having both the pool and stream made the stay lovely. I hope to visit again around August!

It was a pleasure staying in such a pleasant setting. The cottages have everything you need and are American-style, with a feel that made me think I'd achieved the American dream. They're a good fit for a large group. I especially liked the pool, about two meters deep, with clean, warm water.
