Gangneung Gyeongpo Cabin Pension

There’s an organic garden in the front yard where you can pick fresh fruit and vegetables. The older couple running the place were warm and personable, and they put guests’ interests first. They could also give us a ride to popular attractions when needed.

The terrace was lovely at night, with mountain air and the owner’s gentle music playing in the background. We stayed in Sunflower, a cozy room full of character, and it made us so happy. The pension was spotless and carefully maintained, with everything we needed. Parking, the views, the appliances, and access to Gyeongpodae were all just right, and the owner was incredibly kind. My husband and I came to Gangneung for a trip, and our time here ended up being more memorable than the ocean. We had such a good stay that he’s already asked to return on our next trip. We had the whole second floor for our group of over 20, and it was comfortable and fun. The place is a quiet pension in the mountains, with a surprising view of the sea. On a clear day, you can watch the sunrise from Sirubong Peak behind the pension. Getting around isn’t easy since it’s far from Gyeongpo Beach and downtown. When the electric stove broke, the owner quickly brought a replacement and was very kind.

Getting there is a little difficult, but the owner’s service is the biggest plus. He’s really kind. You’ll get what makes his way of thinking so distinctive once you visit, haha. Thumbs up!
