Being near the beach is a plus, and it’s easy to walk to lots of restaurants and convenience stores. The room has plenty of storage, a large fridge and freezer, a toaster oven, and a washer, though no dryer. It feels pretty bare bones. There’s no breakfast, robe, pajamas, or free amenity kit, though you can buy some toiletries at the front desk. The bed is hard, and the washer and kitchenette sit very close to it. There’s no microwave, just the toaster oven. The shades let in all the morning sun, so it was extremely bright by 6:30 every day. Shops, including coffee shops, don’t open until 9 to 11, so sleeping in is tough without an eye mask. There’s a place called Restaurant Como onsite, but it’s a large meeting room for catered food, not an actual restaurant.

For us, the best thing about the hotel was its location. We stayed one night, and the room was roomy for two, with a studio-like setup: a hot and cold shower, fridge, microwave, washing machine, and induction cooker. The only snag was that no detergent was supplied. Luckily, there was a vending machine downstairs selling detergent powder.

The location is excellent, close to both the beach and the lakefront. Our room was modern and clean, and having a kitchen and washing machine was a nice bonus.

Room A506 had a lovely view, and it was very clean with a full kitchen. You can walk to lots of restaurants, and Gyungpo Lake and the beach are both close by. Sound travels, though, so light sleepers may want earplugs for noise from the hallway or upstairs.

The hotel came across as neglected. The rooftop terrace lights were broken, COMO Restaurant was closed, and there were other signs like that. The beach is very close, though the trendiest places are nearer the south side of the lake.
