Jeongdongjin Dawoo Resotel

We really appreciated how helpful, kind, polite, and understanding the staff at Goodstay Dawoo Resortel were during our three days there. We had to communicate through a phone translator, but they were patient with us, and even gave us a lift to the train station. Our room had two beds, plenty of space, a kitchen, conditioner, and a sea view. It was clean too. There’s a ground-floor terrace for BBQ, though there aren’t any food shops nearby. The hotel is very close to the sandy beach and clear water.

It’s an old resort, so don’t expect anything fancy, but it was clean and tidy, with good hot water. The first impression wasn’t great, though I got comfortable there after a while. It wasn’t noisy like I’d read, and the room stayed less humid than the one we had in Seoul, even with the AC switched off before bed. The location is away from the center, so it may not suit you if you want to be central. By car, popular spots are easy to reach. Taxis can be hard to get in the evening, depending on where you’re going. A few blankets smelled a little odd, as if they’d been stored a long time, since we arrived at the start of the season. Big towels cost a small fee to borrow and have to be requested. One building has an elevator, the other doesn’t.

Jeongdongjin Station is about 2 kilometers away, which made it easy to see the surrounding area. The sea is right next door, so it’s a peaceful and comfortable place to rest. The facilities aren’t luxurious, but the price is affordable. This was my third visit, and I’m planning to come back.

The owner was friendly, and I loved the ocean view. There’s a terrace that seems like a nice place to hang out in summer. The facilities are a little dated, but otherwise I liked everything.
