The owner was very kind, and I was satisfied with my stay. The value for money is incredibly good, with a Hamba restaurant right across the road. It’s called a resort, but it’s motel-level and a bit old. Still, compared with a nearby motel, it feels like a whole new world, haha. The price is cheap too!
The room was spotless, the bedding had no smell, and the cool tile floor was nice. The place is old, though it seems cared for. Being far up in the mountains felt unsettling on a Friday when there were hardly any other guests. There was no proper mosquito net, so I couldn't air out the room.
That canteen right across the way is fantastic. The food is so good I wondered how they could make any money from it, probably the best canteen in the country. The owner is the friendliest around, and the room is roomy for 40,000 won. The mountain-side location is the one drawback.
It was warm, quiet, affordable, and the people were friendly. Getting there is difficult because it's so remote, and the place is old. It also doesn't have the amenities you'd expect at a resort.
The staff's behavior was unbelievable. They treated guests like chickens, wouldn't make eye contact or even speak when I came in, then vanished instead of greeting me. The facilities themselves are okay, but the TV didn't work and the blankets were dirty, dirty. Tsk tsk, what is going on? Haha.
