Winners Hotel

The room was clean, and the toiletry bag had a nice assortment of items. I also had a balcony with a good view, plus a fridge, chair, and parking lot. It’s small and there’s no closet, but I made do since I was desperate for a room. There are no thermostats, and I woke up feeling hot a few times. I didn’t try the breakfast, which costs 15000 won. Across the street there’s a 24-hour place with fresh fish, swimming until they cut it up for you, and it was good. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the KTX station. I chose this hotel on day 3 after deciding to go to the Olympics, when there were no other options available, and I was pleased with it. We arrived very late, and the front desk ordered delivery for us. Later we realized we’d forgotten beer, so I called, and the guy went out and bought some for us. That service was great. There were a few things I didn’t like, but the staff went above and beyond, so I’m giving it five stars.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was good. We stayed for the Olympics, and the staff were so kind and helpful. They spoke English and helped us arrange taxis and get food.

DISRESPECTFUL STAFF THEY TOOK OUR MONEY When we checked in, we were told we had to take a lower room for the same price as the expensive ocean view room we had paid for. They said there was no room available. But why was it available when I booked? I had the confirmation number, correct address, and correct dates. I was very disappointed and refused this last-minute arrangement. We asked for a refund, but they refused. I don’t understand why I should pay for a room I never booked. One staff member raised his voice in front of my kids, repeating that I had to pay for the expensive room and stay in a lower room. Then he started yelling. Why are you yelling, sir? We couldn’t take it anymore and no longer trusted them enough to stay there. An absolute disgrace. If you want to ruin your whole family vacation, this is the place to go. If you want your children to witness disrespectful, unacceptable hostility, this is the place to go. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO OVERSEA TRAVELERS. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.

The room was in good condition, and the staff were friendly.
