Clover Resort

The room hadn't been cleaned, and when I raised it with them, they said they'd look into it but then disappeared. The place itself was awful: the ceiling leaked, the bedding was missing and smelled, and both the old kitchen faucet and bathroom were crawling with bugs.

The name “Resort” felt meaningless here. Cleanliness, safety, facilities, and service all fell below basic standards, and I won't stay again. I hope this helps someone avoid the same experience. We booked a lodging package for “Clover Water Leisure,” so naturally I assumed it meant Clover Resort. Nobody said in advance that it was somewhere different, leaving customers no way to know. The biggest issue for me was privacy. After we complained, a manager entered using the room password without asking. They came in again later without permission, notice, or explanation. I've never experienced a place where a manager could enter my room while I was staying there, and I consider that a serious invasion of privacy. There were six of us, but only two single floor mats came with the room. When we asked for more, they gave us two blankets and three pillows, saying the rule was one set per two people. In the end, half the group had to sleep directly on the floor. The bedding and beds also smelled so bad that all six of us noticed it, and we wondered whether anything had been washed. The linen closet was moldy, with bedding stored inside it, and the cabinet door where it was kept was shattered but still being used. Water kept dripping through the ceiling, despite a patch of tape that seemed to be a temporary fix. They continued operating the room as if nothing was wrong. Ants swarmed around the sink, and there were insects throughout the room. The balcony was covered in weeds and thick dust, so it was practically unusable. The outside looked like a run-down house. The facilities seemed old and worn all over, which made me question their safety. A heater was plugged into the outlet beside the sink, a setup that seemed to carry a high risk of electric shock. The air conditioner was outdated and barely cooled the room. I told the front desk, but nothing was done. The kitchen was almost impossible to use. There was no gas stove, and the one induction cooktop looked questionable and hadn't even been cleaned. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash weren't provided. I had to ask directly to get a hairdryer. I booked this as the worst place I've ever reserved and stayed at through KakaoTalk. I don't want to return and can't recommend it.

We got the afternoon unlimited pass as a group, and everyone rode in the order they lined up without delays. The rides last longer than at other water parks, and the staff, even though they looked worn out from driving and riding, kept smiling and joking around, which made it fun. They checked during rides whether we were scared or tired and adjusted the difficulty, too. The place was clean and well organized, so it had a nice feel. I saw something odd in the reviews below and wanted to say this: asking to switch to only three rides when you have an unlimited pass doesn't make sense. How would staff know how many rides you've already had? lol. We had a really good time and plan to come back.

The only things I wasn't keen on were the heated floors and not having beds. Otherwise, it's a new building, completed in 2018, and both inside and out are quite clean. The rooms are spacious, and there are several amenities, including an audiovisual room. There's parking, barbecue space, and seating enough for groups of up to 100. Downstairs you can find karaoke, ping-pong, and billiards, plus a convenience store for things you forgot. In summer, a paved path right outside leads to water sports nearby. If you don't bring meat, the resort sells it as a set, and you can order hangover soup for breakfast. One tip for finding it: using the street address may send you the wrong way. Search for Club Red Zone, then take the right fork just before the end. I think it's a good fit for a family trip, company outing, or a group of friends. I'll be back when it warms up this year.
