Awful, unkind, and far too expensive.

From the largest room, the living room's air conditioner was strong enough to cool two other rooms. The place is near the mountains and valley, so there were barely any bugs. A shallow stretch of water is right out front and great for playing in, but make sure to rent a life jacket. You could drown.

The water in the valley is clear enough for adults to swim, and kids can enjoy it too. I also liked that there are pensions and bungalows there.

There's a lawn up on the hill where dogs can run around, and the pension is quiet, right beside a stream. It's pet-friendly and sits in a valley north of Gapyeong.

The owner has been friendly both times I've visited. The valley out front is lovely, though honestly, I can't say the room itself was in satisfying condition.
