Gapyeong Ethrenresort Pension

I only used Ppaji. They asked for cash, and the staff were generally unfriendly. The inflatable bounce house was dirty, and the water was... Luckily, I could use the resort pool, so I swam and enjoyed the rides. It was my first time at Ppaji, and I'm surprised the rating is so high. Maybe it's because the other Ppajis aren't that great, but I'm not sure.

The staff were friendly and helped us enjoy the water sports. We arrived at Gapyeong Station, got picked up, and checked in to a room in excellent condition, with a view of the Bukhan River, as you'd expect from a luxury pension. After playing in the water, we had a delicious BBQ, with kimchi stew and meat grilled just right, sure to please Cass. Stars scattered one by one made the day even nicer.

There are a few bugs in the room, and the bedding was only so-so. The bathroom is very spacious, but it gets humid since there's no ventilation fan. The outdoor barbecue area is well set up, a nice place to zone out while eating meat. There's also a small pool, a water park, and a BHC restaurant, so it's not bad overall. Breakfast at 15,000 won feels a bit expensive. The menu changes by date and can include seaweed soup, white rice, fried rice, kimchi, stir-fried garlic stems, sausage, fried egg, stir-fried fish cake, bread, jam, butter, cereal, and more. I'd recommend it for a getaway with friends rather than a family trip.

It's an older place, but it's well cleaned. The bedding and bathrooms are clean, and there's a convenience store for supplies. With a pool, lawn, and basketball court, there's plenty to do. When the water level of Cheongpyeong Lake is high, you can fish in the canal next to the resort. It's connected straight to the beach, so water sports are available at a low price. I wouldn't recommend the unlimited barbecue.
