Gapyeong Miramonti Poolvilla

Dinner was good after grilling meat at the well-equipped BBQ area, and some people in our group made plenty of use of the well-kept pool. We stayed in the private pool villa at the very top, where the height gave us lovely views of Gapyeong’s mountains and the flowing stream. The place was clean and tidy, and we had a great stay before heading home.

I paid 890,000 won, then another 100,000 won for the pool, extra per person for groups of four or more, and 40,000 won to use the BBQ. For that money, it felt like a waste. The parking was cramped, the bedding smelled, and the facilities were poor. I’m never going back.

The kids especially loved when a whole family of cats came by to eat meat. We had a great time in the outdoor pool, and the separate barbecue area meant the kids could go to bed first. There were plenty of rooms and beds, four bathrooms on the duplex level, and a floor-seating room where we could sleep safely on the floor.

The weekday evening pool-villa rate was low, which is the basis for my review. At full weekend price, I would have felt cheated. The bed was in good overall condition, but the sofa was a little dirty, and there was mold in several places. The facilities are dated. I also found it unpleasant that the woman in charge kept asking me for money within seconds of seeing me about the rug.
