That narrow entrance was pretty scary, especially if you’re a beginner ㅠ. The owner was kind, though, and I loved the place as soon as I walked in. There’s a big open living room, a spa, a terrace for grilling meat, and an outdoor pool upstairs. It seems nice in winter, but probably even better in summer 👍 The accommodation is so pretty that I’d like to come back 😊😊

There were bugs around, which I understand in a mountain setting, but spiders kept coming down from the ceiling and climbing back up. The duplex also had no air conditioning upstairs, so using a fan made that area too hot. The air conditioning itself was old, and the room curtains and sofa felt sticky and dirty. There was a lot of mold on the windows and ceiling, too. I know things have been difficult because of COVID-19, but I’m writing this because the facilities need more attention going forward.
The nearby stream was nice, so that’s why I gave it one star. There was a pool, but it couldn’t be used, and nobody had posted a notice about it. The cleanliness was poor, and honestly I didn’t like anything else. At checkout, no one was around, no one had explained where to put the trash, and I had to ask several times to get recycling and garbage bags. The price was cheap, so I let some things go, but I don’t want to return. I’d rather pay more and stay somewhere else.
The weak bathroom water pressure made showering difficult. Hot water came through fine, but it was either cold or too hot, and lukewarm was hard to get, so you had to adjust it carefully. The room was spacious and clean, and I especially liked having the bedroom, spa, living room, and private barbecue area separated. The owner was friendly, there’s a mini pool, and the stream is a five-minute walk away. I ate chicken soup at the bungalow restaurant across from the stream. An old man runs it, and it looks like cats live behind the restaurant. ^^
The charcoal was expensive. I stayed in the Legno room, which was clean and really nice, and the owner was helpful and very friendly. They even gave us a glass of wine for dinner. ^^ It’s a bit far from Gapyeong Station, so I’d recommend coming by car.
