Popcorn House was such a peaceful place to stay, surrounded by trees and very photogenic. It’s near the Garden of Morning Calm and other tourist spots, too. The pension has everything we needed, plus an outdoor pool and a garden. I had a great time staying there in South Korea with friends and family. If you’re visiting Gyeonggi-do, Popcorn House in Gapyeong is worth considering.

I liked having my own room to relax in, while still getting to spend time with the group. I had a lot of fun staying at the pension on my own. The pool is well cared for, the lawn looks lovely, and the bonfire was great. Parking was easy, and the owner can pick you up if you don’t have a car. There’s plenty to do nearby, including the arboretum and several good restaurants. It’s in Gapyeong, not far from Seoul. The program was fantastic. Some of the facilities are old and a bit dated.

The owner’s family clearly cares for the place and keeps it well maintained, even though it has the look of somewhere that’s been around a while. The bedding, dishes, and furniture aren’t in perfect shape. Each unit has its own terrace and barbecue, with a small pool and a tidy yard where you can have a fire.
