The Square

The owner was friendly, and the room had been prepared well. It was handy to have basic condiments available for free. The water pressure was a little weak, though, and the curtains let in enough daylight to make it hard to fall asleep early in the morning.

The river view was incredible, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. I had room 401 beside the lobby, which made it easy to handle my luggage. The road up to the pension is a bit steep, so bring plenty of food and snacks. There’s a convenience store nearby, and they also sell alcohol inside the pension. I had a lot of fun in the spa while looking out at the river, but I didn’t notice that the previous guest had used bubble bath and left residue behind because the lights were off. Wonhyo Daesa's skull water, lol. I mentioned it to the owner the next day. He said there had been a facility problem and offered me a partial refund. I still felt a little uneasy about the spa, but his response cheered me up.

The room and bathroom are both pretty spacious, and there’s a spa as well. The view is great, and there’s a private barbecue on the veranda. It looked comfortable, but I skipped it because it was too cold. I went in winter, and the room got a little chilly at night.

The outdoor spa and river scenery were lovely, but there were so many bugs, and the place didn’t feel well maintained. The musty smell from the bedding and towels was really unpleasant. I skipped the barbecue after reading reviews about the bugs, and I think it would have been tough to eat outside with them around.
