The island has lovely beaches, both sandy and rocky, and it’s easy to reach. There’s plenty to see nearby too, including Windy Hill and Oedo Island, and the food is delicious. You can take the bus from Seoul and enjoy it all. I’ll be back!

After Jeju, this is one of the most scenic islands. Getting around in your own vehicle is a good idea since public transport is poor. Some roads are very narrow, and traffic jams can happen often.

A lovely island for a weekend trip. It’s cheaper and easier to visit than Jeju, and you can drive there.

There’s a lot more here than beaches, including two of the world’s best shipyards. Gujora beach, Daekpo beach, and Hangdong beach all give you a great feeling. Haeguemgang, Odeo island, and POW Memorial are worth a visit too. The people have a strong sense of safety, and the society is very disciplined. One of the best places to visit in Republic of Korea.
