For a budget traveler like me, Hotel Marinabay Seoul is a very good choice. It's clean and spacious, with plenty of amenities that look nice. There were a few small stains on the seats or sofa and some on the walls, but the rooms and other facilities were generally clean. Breakfast at the buffet was satisfying, and a kitchen staff member makes noodles at the noodle station. It's close to Gimpo Airport, Hyundai Premium Outlets, and the train station. My family had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The fitness center was a letdown. Several machines didn't work, the equipment looked old and neglected, and the space wasn't clean or welcoming. For a hotel at this level, I expected the guest facilities to be much better maintained.

What's the point of having a sink and a pretend kitchen counter if you can't use them? There's no microwave either, which is essential. Hotels.com said there was a free airport shuttle, but the receptionist said there isn't one and that they can only call a taxi. The lobby also looks messy, with cheap fast-food ads.

The front desk service from J Park was rude, with no smile or welcome. I had to ask before anyone told me the breakfast hours or where it was. I've visited Seoul many times, and this was the first time I'd had such lousy, rude service at a four-star hotel.

A good fit for tour groups, with a large lobby, decent rooms and bathrooms, and a good breakfast. There's also a convenience store right in the lobby.
