Gongju Hotel Del Luna

I booked in a hurry because every nearby hotel seemed full, and skipping the reviews was a huge mistake. The room was dirty, with stained sheets and pillowcases, and the blanket had several blood or other stains inside. I asked the front desk for a replacement, but the woman said a blanket would cost another 5,000 won. Once I explained that mine was dirty, she told me to leave it outside the door. The replacement had holes, was torn, and smelled so bad I couldn't use it, so I slept with my coat over it. There was no room key. At checkout they told me not to take my wallet or anything I might lose with me, and to lock it inside while I slept. Desks piled up in front of the door made it hard to move around. There was a computer but no TV. The bathroom was moldy and had no hot water at first. When I called, the woman said it took longer than at a regular hotel to heat up. The room phone cord didn't work, so I had to use my own phone to find the answer. Even the hair dryer looked abandoned on the desk beside the bed. I only glanced at the photos and really regret not reading the reviews. Please read this before you choose. I hated staying at this place in my mom's hometown. It doesn't deserve to be called a hotel, a motel would be a better description, and it shouldn't be open to the public.

The owner treated me very kindly, but the spa tub whirlpool wasn't working, and the showers need renovation. The place seems to have been popular in the past for its upscale hall lighting and whirlpool service. These days, the focus on high-spec PCs for travelers and guests makes it feel more like an internet cafe than somewhere to relax. The PC-themed interior seems to take up half the space, and there's a cigarette smell. I hope they bring back a theme centered on relaxation and healing.

A room that reeks of cigarettes, and when I arrived they didn't know where the key was, so I was left waiting all day while they searched. I've never had a manager yell at me to go to a particular room before. The staff were rude, smelled of smoke, and gave such poor service. It's disgusting and kind of unbelievable that a motel like this is being run as a hotel here. Hehe. If you're looking to relax, go somewhere else. You'll be better off.

The price is cheap, but the room isn't clean. There's old dust everywhere, along with an overwhelming cigarette and mold smell.
