Gloucester Hotel Kintex

The deluxe room was a decent size, but there were so many problems. We checked in to find no bottled water, dirty cups, and shower glass still marked with soap or shampoo. The door viewer had no privacy cover, and the room door had only a basic turn lock, with no latch. Since anyone could reach the floors in the lifts without tapping a room card, that lock felt especially flimsy. They gave two guests just one card. Were we meant to split it, or have one person stay in a dark room without power or TV while the other went out? There was no dressing table either, so anyone doing makeup had to stand. The shower screen covers only a quarter of the shower, leaving the toilet floor soaked. The slippers were reusable rubber ones, and one was so stained it looked like lots of people had worn them. The front desk staff were rude. When I asked about the missing floor mat, the woman at reception seemed unwilling to help. She came up just to level 3 and shoved a towel into my hands. Housekeeping had missed the mat in the first place. How is this a four-star hotel with service and standards like that?
