Goyang Hotel Yuji

I had a bad experience.

I picked this place for the price and the hotel quality, which felt on point compared with places in the city center. It also gave me a more local residential-area feel. Haengsin Station and the KTX station are about a five-minute walk away, with no shelter along the way. KTX gets to Daegu or Busan in two hours. Hongik Uni is six stops away, about 15 minutes on the train plus roughly five minutes waiting; Myeongdong is probably 45 minutes and Seongsu about an hour. Nearby, there’s Olive Young, Daiso, Paris Baguette, Mega Coffee, small chains and local shops and restaurants, a 24-hour 7-11, and a Chinese-operated massage shop with decent prices. I went for a king room, and it was the right choice: a 54-60 inch TV with Netflix and Disney Channel, plus a bathtub overlooking the room, so bring LUSH bath bombs. The interior looked fresh, new, and clean, and the windows did a great job blocking road noise. The bed was alright, but the blanket, pillow, and towels weren’t very fluffy or nice to the touch. There’s an antechamber to leave shoes before the bedroom, which was interesting, though only king rooms have one. Each floor has three large rooms facing the main road and four smaller ones facing the back. Noise insulation from the corridors and elsewhere in the building was mediocre. Free coffee, water, and disposable supplies are by reception. I used Papago to ask for more towels because I chose no room service during my 5D4N stay. For the airport, the climate card covered the route from Haengsin to Digital Media City, then a transfer to the airport line, reaching Terminal 1 within an hour. Another option is airport bus 3200 for 7200 won. It’s a 10-minute walk, and NAVER Maps shows the next bus time.

I got a good rest here. The area was peaceful, and both the room and its surroundings were quiet and clean.

Clean and comfortable, the best hotel around here in my experience. There are lots of burger places and other restaurants nearby.
