Gunsan Hotel May

For the price, it’s good value. The place feels more like a motel than a hotel.

The bedding was clean, and checkout time was generous, but the stay had some issues. I booked a couple PC room cheaply, and there was something on the mouse and keyboard; the keyboard pad felt sticky tooㅜㅜ. Something kept rattling beneath my feet, and the bathroom lights shook like they might fall off.

The staff were friendly, and there are good restaurants in the lively commercial area nearby. The bathroom feels a little dated and isn’t the best. In winter, the electric ondol floor heating warms up fast, and the beds have electric blankets too.

The owner was incredibly friendly, and the interior looked clean. But when I walked into Room 205, a slight military-like smell made me frown. I can’t say whether the other rooms are the same.
