The Groove Gunsan Hotel

The rooms are clean and the breakfast is delicious. It’s a good place to stay for a business trip or a visit to Gunsan.

The other facilities were fairly decent, and there’s a Styler. There isn’t much around the hotel. The mattress was uncomfortable, and my back hurt a bit after sleeping. Water splashes out to the side when you shower and pools on the floor next to it.

I had a good impression on my first visit, so I booked a second time. Now I’m noticing drawbacks I didn’t see before. I stayed in a Deluxe Room. The room has a table, which is useful, but no mirror. I could do my hair in the bathroom, but the lighting there was dim for makeup. Going back and forth between the room and bathroom was inconvenient. Please put a mirror on the table. The bed was too small for two people to lie comfortably. I’m 168cm and my husband is 180cm, and our feet practically stuck out when we stretched our legs. The first-floor lobby has a nice open layout, though the chairs and flooring seemed poorly maintained. At check-in, the staff member or owner only checked the reservation name and handed us the key. When I said we’d booked two nights, they said, “Oh, really? We didn't check that?” It came across as unprofessional and disorganized. For anyone booking through Agoda, breakfast was listed as included, but it turned out to mean cooking ramen yourself with a machine in the second-floor restaurant. I felt a bit cheated. I’m mentioning it so other Agoda guests know. It’s disappointing to be leaving a negative review after my second stay.

Breakfast was included, and the price was reasonable. The place also felt modern, stylish, and clean. I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.
