This is a convenient boutique hotel in Gwangju, with very friendly service in the lobby. Communication in English can sometimes be difficult. My room was clean and nice, though a bit small.

The room had been renovated, with plenty of sunlight and a good bed, and it was clean. Since check-in was self-service, it was inconvenient to have to get water from the purifier when it ran low. Apart from that, I had a good rest.

I don't know Gwangju well enough to comment on the downtown area or how easy it is to get around, but I can recommend this place in Sangmu District. I travel around the country often for both work and leisure and stay in a lot of accommodations, and this is one of my top picks. It may cost more than a regular motel, but the facilities are at a 4-star level, and the place is tidy and clean.
