Mudeung Park Resort & Hotel

The place was very clean, and the Korean food was excellent. Free Wi-Fi too.

Since the remodeling, it’s become a nice, pleasant place.

The lobby and restaurant have an old-fashioned feel and reasonably friendly service, though the hotel’s facilities overall are dated. The sauna, though, is poor in every respect. I paid 10,000 won with the guest discount, but the water was only lukewarm and the showers had cold water only. It’s called a “Hot Spring,” but there’s no way to know whether the water actually comes from a hot spring. When a tourist asked for hot water, staff refused, saying the facilities were outdated. Later, after a man who seemed to be a longtime member stepped out and came back, slightly warmer water started flowing. The men’s changing room staff also had an appalling attitude. At the entrance, they scolded a guest who had just been verified for bringing in a grown girl (3 years old), asking how he could bring a grown girl inside. There was no legal issue, but they seemed displeased and said members were uncomfortable because of tourists like this.

I took the Mudeungsan lift and rail bike instead of staying at a hotel. It was a completely different kind of experience~
