There are good restaurants and cafes close by, in an area people consider a must-see. Breakfast is included, with bread, jams, eggs you can cook yourself, tea, juice, and cereal. I stayed one night in a women-only room for eight on the first floor, and paid just $12. Eight people share a bathroom, though there is another washbasin right outside the room, so it wasn't a problem. The host locks the door after 23:00, which makes for a quiet night's sleep. If you want a calm stay, this place is a good choice. Party people should look elsewhere.

We could walk to downtown GwangJu and ChungJang-Street from here. Parking was easy too, with a big empty lot nearby. The room was clean and neat, especially the spotless kitchen where my wife and I had beer and snacks together. Our family of four took the largest room, which sleeps six. I couldn't negotiate a lower price with my not-so-great bargaining skills, and had to pay for two extra people for my four- and six-year-old kids.

The neighborhood is quiet and pleasant, and the location is ideal. The owner is incredibly welcoming despite barely speaking three words of English. The place is very clean. Only downside, it felt quite expensive for Korea.

The beds have curtains, so you can sleep whenever you like, and breakfast is generous. It's a lovely guest house very close to downtown.

I had a really nice stay here. Good service and breakfast, and the cost and atmosphere were nice too. For check-in, it helps if you speak Korean or have a Korean-speaking friend with you.
