Stay Hotel

The buffet breakfast includes local Korean food, which was a nice way to try the local cuisine. The facilities were excellent and beyond what I expected, on par with what I’d expect at an upscale hotel. A very nice place to visit!

The rooms are spacious and very well appointed, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is okay, though the small breakfast room can mean waiting for a seat. Check-in was an absolute breeze. I’d recommend it without hesitation.

The room was clean and looked nice, though the mattresses felt a bit harder than we’re used to. There’s air conditioning, but figuring out how to use it in English was really difficult. It’s a nice little hotel in a fantastic part of Gwangju, with plenty to do east along the main street and great food close by.

The room was spacious and the facilities were okay, but the stay felt more like a motel than a hotel. There were mosquitoes in the room, and the lobby smelled bad, like room spray or insect spray. Breakfast was limited to toast, orange juice, one fruit, coffee, and a few warm dishes. The breakfast hall was extremely cold from the AC. The worst part was how rudely the staff treated us. While we were parking our rental car, a man stopped us harshly, made us get out right away, and kept shouting one Korean word while gesturing. He couldn’t answer our questions. He took the car and parked it very hastily, accelerating so much in the narrow space that he almost hit the wall.
