Coolstay Hotel

I wouldn't recommend this motel. I booked a “Random Room Netflix Non-Smoking” expecting parking, then was charged extra without being told beforehand. They put me in an ondol room with a floor instead of the bed room shown in the photos, unless I paid another 60,000 KRW. The staff were rude and dismissive, mocking me and saying it was “random” and I should accept it. They also said I had to pay more for a bed room. The hidden fee and aggressive attitude made the whole experience awful.

A really good, inexpensive place to stay.

We paid good money, then only learned at breakfast that we had to cook our own food and wash the dishes. That should have been stated before booking. If I had known, I would have stayed home and done the same for free, or chosen a hotel that provides the service you pay for. I also have concerns about the hygiene: perfect strangers are expected to wash dishes with the same dirty sponge.

We had a huge room with two double beds, and the bathroom had a tub for two. It's a quirky little hotel, but really good, and immaculately clean. Breakfast is self-assembly, but good. One thing we only figured out too late: the air conditioning controls are on the TV remote. Highly recommend it for a reasonably priced stay. The big hotels could learn a thing or two here.
