Corea Condo Gyeongju

Good.

I stayed in room 211 around mid-October, after vacation season, and it was quiet, good for a peaceful visit. It felt like an old hotel, with a living room and kitchen, a bedroom and closet, air conditioning, and a veranda. There were three towels in the bathroom, a small round soap bar, and a blanket for about four people. The gas burner was handy, though there were no tongs, and the ceramic dishes were heavy. It had the feel of a housewarming party. The price was 50,000 won, which I think was discounted because my friend's wife works at Ashley.

The room interior seems to have had a small renovation, but the exterior and facilities still need work. The building feels old, and the soundproofing was disappointing. Central heating in winter starts at 7 a.m., so it might stay cold until 8. The price for what you get is satisfying, though.

It's good value for the price, like a cheap guesthouse that doesn't quite feel like a guesthouse. It can get a little cold. There's a refrigerator, gas stove, rice cooker, TV, and air conditioner.
