Gyeongju Friend Guest House - Hostel

The staff were lovely, and it was easy to check in and out. My room was tidy and simple, with shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hair dryer, towel, and curling rod provided. Breakfast was good and the facilities were great. The showers are shared, with open shower heads and no stalls. It was quiet but still easy to meet people. The location worked well for buses and walking around town. We took a bus to the temples and a taxi back.

I appreciated that breakfast was still offered, since a lot of hostels have stopped because of budget cuts. The owner is so kind, and the hostel was very clean. They even had a heating blanket for winter, and I love that the place is woman-owned. 10/10.

I stayed in a four-bed room at Gyeongju Friend Guesthouse. It was comfortable, had AC and lockers, and the location is handy for bus stops and parks. The shared showers are open and separated for women and men. There's a cute dog around, which made the stay even nicer, and breakfast was good too. I'd stay here again if I return to Gyeongju.

It's close to everything in Gyeongju, and I slept really well. The dorm beds don't creak when you move, though they're a little hard, like beds elsewhere in Korea. When it was cold, she gave us electric blankets. The showers have an unusual shared locker-room setup, but taking turns makes it manageable. The owner is incredibly friendly, and her tiny dog candy is adorable. Breakfast was amazing, with eggs, toast, and homemade soup. It's not a very social hostel, but I made friends with the friendly girls in my room.
