A little garden gives you somewhere to sit in the sun, and the spot is handy for getting around, with the central bus terminal and other things you might need close by. I can't really judge how authentic it is, though it seems quite authentic to me. Sleeping on the floor could be a worthwhile experience if you haven't done it before. There are modern comforts too, including a hot shower and a big TV with loads of channels. Finding the place took some effort. It's tucked into a back alley, away from the main road, and GPS helps until you know the area. The low doorways are another issue: even when you duck, you can still bump your head. Also, it's only a two-minute walk from the red light district. That might suit some people, but it wasn't what I wanted.

Breakfast comes with toast, egg, and jam, and the facilities are very basic. The floor was so hard that none of us slept well, and we all woke up with sore backs the next morning.

The owner was very friendly, and the room was clean. A good place.

The room is fairly small, about 2.2 x 3.0 meters, but it has its own bathroom and a kitchen for cooking. The host leaves toast, eggs, bowls, and cooking utensils, and there's shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom. Sound carries through the walls, though it wasn't bad enough to keep us from sleeping. Since the host usually isn't on site, it's a good idea to get in touch beforehand and confirm when you'll arrive.

It's convenient for exploring the city, with attractions and bus stops nearby. Still, the price felt high for what you get. The bedding is a duvet laid straight on the floor rather than a futon, and the door is secured with a padlock. I also couldn't get the shower water temperature right, hot or cold, and the hostess wasn't very welcoming.
