Travel Light Hostel Gyeongju

The lounge has coffee, orange juice, bread, and cooking equipment, and there's a washer and dryer you can pay for with Apple Pay. We were also given face masks and cleansers, and our room had underfloor heating. Everything was immaculate, the rooms were so clean, and arriving was easy. It's a gorgeous place with a really good location, such a fab stay. Definitely recommend!!

The location made getting around really easy: it’s right by the bus station, with food nearby and buses across the street to the main sights. Self check-in was simple, and I liked the little toothpastes, earplugs, body lotion, and kitchen recycling. It was quiet and clean, and I’d stay another night. A few things weren’t great. The Wi-Fi dropped in and out in the evening and wasn’t good for video. The bathroom had a faint vomit-like smell, and I’m not keen on a shower right beside the toilet, even though the floor dried quickly. Breakfast was just bread, dry cereal, orange juice, and coffee, so I bought protein drinks at the GS25 on the corner. The mattress and pillows were much too soft for me, and the early sunlight coming through the blinds made an eye mask useful.

Self-service, and do it.

We found plenty of useful touches here, from chargers and workstations to lots of storage, including space to leave luggage before check-in or after checkout. Breakfast was included, with coffee, juice, toast, cereal, and facilities to cook your own food. The room had a long list of amenities, even face packs, and the bathroom was spotless with a good hot shower and plenty of hot water. The beds looked like mattresses on platforms, but they were very cosy, with lovely duvets. The room was spacious and laid out well. We stayed at Travel Light Hostel Gyeongju, and it’s one of the best hostels we’ve stayed in. It’s incredible value for money, and we highly recommend it.
