The owners were kind, and the kitchen was clean with everything we needed. There’s no welcome drink or food service, though when I asked for salt and soy sauce they gave me some. The summer outdoor pool is available seasonally. The room and building were lovely, and the atmosphere was really nice. We paid 150,000 won for a holiday night, which felt reasonable. The extra bedding was freshly washed, cozy, and smelled good, with the sort of comforting pattern you’d see on a blanket at your grandmother’s house. It’s a quiet, secluded spot, over ten minutes from Bomun where pensions are clustered. I’d hoped for a secluded walking path, but there wasn’t one, which was disappointing. Sound carries through the building, too. I could clearly hear children and gatherings late at night and early in the morning. They weren’t being especially loud, but it was still a shame that the noise came through so much.

The entrance area looked a little untidy, maybe because of a riding arena or barn nearby. Once you get past that, though, Another World Pension is a quiet place in the mountains where you can unwind. Driving into Gyeongju, the scenery hadn’t impressed me much, and this isn’t a dramatic view or a landscape painting with flowing water. Still, the name feels fitting once you arrive. Just go and rest. ^^

It’s peaceful here, and I really like looking up at the stars at night. The owner is friendly, the rates are reasonable, and the facilities are top-notch. I’ve stayed here more than once and plan to keep coming back.

I enjoyed my stay in this quiet rural village. Just be aware that the road into the village is narrow, with only one lane for both directions. If an incoming car meets one heading out, getting past each other could be difficult.
