Js The Classic Hotel

A laid-back spot.

There were some odd problems despite the room being clean and pleasant overall. All three chairs were torn badly enough to be uncomfortable, and it didn’t look like anyone was fixing them. Some lights didn’t work, and the vanity mirror only had marks left where it had come off. Cigarette smoke from downstairs drifted into the room. There was an ashtray in the room, so it seems like smoking is allowed in the hotel. On the good side, the front desk staff were friendly, the room was spacious, and the bed and bedding made for a comfortable sleep. The heating worked well, and the toilet and shower were separate. The fridge had two soft drinks and two bottles of water. There was an audio system, though I didn’t use it. It’s the kind of hotel that still makes you think about coming back.

The bathroom could use slippers. Water doesn’t seem to drain properly if it spills on the floor, so you have to wait for it to dry or wipe it yourself. If you’re driving, bringing your own slippers would be a good idea. I liked that this place had its own character instead of feeling like a typical hotel. The atmosphere is modern, and the furniture and appliances, including the TV, bathtub, and bed, are high-end. The bed was comfortable, almost like latex, and the speakers were a highlight. Playing music from my phone on them created a nice mood. Overall, I was satisfied.

It felt quite roomy for one person. The layout made me think it might have once been a love hotel and been converted into a business hotel. There’s an earthen-floored area, a small step between the floor and bed, and no wall separating the bathtub from the bed area.
