Best Western Premier Incheon Airport

I chose it for being near the terminal, but the hourly shuttle had just left when I landed, so I ended up taking a cab. I paid Rs 12000 for an ondol room. Check-in was quick, and the room was average, with a queen bed. The furniture wasn’t very usable: no bedside tables, and the floor wasn’t heated. The AC either blows hot air or shuts off. There was just one USB outlet, the entry light couldn’t be switched off, and there was no coffee stirrer, which made mixing the coffee a hassle.

The CU store beside reception was handy, and being five minutes from T1 worked for an early flight. The shuttle driver was helpful with luggage and on time. At T1, the stop is 14 C, with transfers every half hour before 10 am; the free airport shuttle from exit 8 at T1 goes to T2. The hotel itself feels dated. The carpet is worn, towels are old, there’s no toothbrush, soap, or lotion, and the charger is far from the bed. Check-in is at 2 pm sharp.

The location is the best part, about seven minutes away on a free shuttle that comes every half hour. But I wouldn’t really recommend staying here unless nearby hotels are full or a lot pricier. The ceiling had mould, the bidet didn’t work, and the shower drain was blocked. Water nearly reached my ankles, and the whole bathroom floor flooded.

The photo says enough. The aircon was noisy, and getting it to run took trial and error. There’s little insulation from aircraft noise, too. The airport shuttle to Terminal 1 only starts at 6 am. We’d been told 5:45, but that was just the boarding time. On our first day of Korean holidays, the ground staff were great and got us through the airport quickly.
