It’s convenient having a convenience store across the street for extra food or drinks, and the pension was kept very tidy. The individual barbecues are handy, though the charcoal-and-gas setup gives the food a slightly different taste from grilling outside over charcoal alone. A great pension for couples.

There’s plenty to do here. The first floor has a ping-pong table, pinball, Jenga, electronic darts, and target shooting, which was fun for making bets with friends. There was a pool too, so I could splash around a bit. The suite’s indoor spa was fantastic. Bath salts aren’t allowed, but the bubbles helped wash away all my fatigue. They also called to confirm my arrival, even though I checked in late at 8:30 PM, and were very friendly. I’d love to return next time I’m on Ganghwa Island.
The owner was so kind, and having a convenience store right across the street was great. I came on a trip with a friend, and we made wonderful memories using the spa. The sunset viewpoint was nearby too. The owner is the best!
There are a lot of pluses: a convenience store right in front and the Janghwari Sunset Viewing Area within walking distance, although parking there can be tight around sunset. It was fully booked when I visited, but the parking felt just right. I came with my parents and stayed one night for the spa. I’d give the spa itself three stars. It was full, so I showered after using it, and the bathroom is right next door, which made that easy. We ate dinner out, so grilling wasn’t an issue for us, but I’m concerned about the smell if you cook meat inside. I didn’t grill any, yet the smell lingered. Maybe it’s because the meat table and spa bathroom entrance are together. The big windows don’t ventilate well. For a relatively new place, the stairs already felt worn. I can’t tell if they’re covered in fabric, but it looks like it’s coming loose and might get damp in the rain. There was a lot of mold on the bathroom door, which was annoying. The amenities weren’t up to standard, but I can let that go. The pillow smelled a bit, though, and I started wondering about the laundry. It smelled like human hair, and I didn’t want to sleep on it. With some good points but also that, I can’t give it a high score.
We came with the kids to have some fun, and the owner was so kind and attentive. The pension has a swimming pool, too.
