Ganghwa Rodemhouse Pension

After we checked in at 3:00 PM, strangers kept acting like they'd entered the wrong room and coming in and out for about two hours. The fourth time I asked what was going on, they apologized and left, saying it was a mistake. We went for barbecue at 7:00 PM, then briefly returned to our room at 10:00 PM and found the front door open. Our guitar was gone. When we told the pension owner, things got chaotic, and people from the next room came in carrying the guitar they'd taken. The man who'd been entering our room earlier said he'd been drunk, thought he was in his own room, and assumed the guitar belonged to the pension. The owner tried to cover for us by saying we were acquaintances, but then treated us like drunk, oversensitive people who had stolen our own guitar. An acquaintance of the pension owner had sneaked in and taken our things. We came to make memories with friends and instead spent money and left feeling awful. Don't go there. Businesses like this deserve to be punished. Women and children especially should think seriously before going. About fifteen men, including my acquaintances, were drinking from early morning, entering other people's rooms, stealing, and just watching it happen. I posted this on Naver, but the review was deleted, so I'm sharing it here.

It's an old pension, but the rooms were warm with no drafts, there were plenty of towels, and hot water came out strongly. After a Friday business trip to Ganghwa Island, it worked out fine for a quick drink with a colleague and a night's sleep.

The flowers in bloom made the place feel pleasant, and there was enough room to rest for the night. Some of the facilities were a little dated, but I had a great, relaxed trip.

The pool was incredibly small compared with the photos. I also booked what was advertised as an 8-person room, but they charged extra per person for a 4-person room. That kind of trick only worked in the 90s. Even at peak season, 30,000 won for charcoal feels excessive. I won't be back.
