Oakwood Premier Incheon

The breakfast buffet was wonderful, with lots to choose from, and the hotel connects to a Lotte mart. You can reach it through the parking garage below if the weather is bad. The rooms are amazing. Even the worst one is better than most hotels in the U.S. They feel more like small apartments, with a full kitchen, washer-dryer combo, and great views. Every room starts above the 36th floor, where check-in is located.

It felt less like a hotel room, which I liked, and was good value, with a kitchen full of useful amenities. The lobby is on the 36th floor, and you have to transfer elevators to go downstairs.

A used condom on the floor. If you’re looking at Oakwood Premier Incheon because it calls itself a 5-star property, save yourself the trouble. This was the most revolting and unprofessional hotel stay I’ve ever had. The room’s “premium” welcome was brown splatter stains on the hallway wall. In the bedroom, there was seminal fluid smeared on the wall and tissue box, and then a piece of a used condom on the floor. I felt nauseated. That’s enough to make me question the cleaning standards here. The staff were rude and condescending, with a lot of attitude. Reporting what I found felt like it would be a waste of breath. If they can’t show basic respect, why would they care about basic hygiene? My friends across the street at the Sheraton had a flawless stay, with clean rooms and kind staff, and none of the biohazards Oakwood apparently accepts as décor. I expect cleanliness, professionalism, and comfort from a 5-star hotel, not the aftermath of someone else’s private activities smeared around my room. Oakwood Premier Incheon is a health hazard dressed up as luxury, and I’d strongly encourage travelers to stay literally anywhere else. The bar is on the floor, which is where this hotel belongs.

The rooms are great, but I couldn’t get the temperature cool enough for comfortable sleep, which brought the rating down for me. There’s no flat sheet under the duvet either, so I couldn’t have a bit of cover without getting too hot.
