Parking is convenient, and you get ocean views. The W Hotel has a genuinely friendly owner, and for this price I haven’t found many pensions on Ganghwa Island with comparable quality. There are several good eel restaurants and seawater baths nearby too. If you’re exploring by bike or on foot, I’d recommend this pension over the shabby places at Ganghwa County Office.
The interior is a little dated, but it’s an amazing value if you can look past that. My first room smelled awful, probably because the previous guest had smoked a lot, even though the room was clean. Once I explained, the owners apologized a lot even though it wasn’t their fault, and moved me to another room.
The coffee's good, and the bread is especially delicious.
Loved the big bathtub, and the view was great too. Really wonderful.
