Songdo Blue Hotel

I’d avoid this place. My booking, made weeks ahead, clearly said airport transfers were included, and I’d added my flight details in the comments, which they received. I contacted the hotel about a week before arriving to ask how the transfers worked, but didn’t hear back until the day before arrival, while I was on a flight. They then said I’d booked through an affiliate site rather than directly on Agoda, but my voucher and Agoda login both say otherwise. It wasn’t the deal I expected.

The nearby mall called the forest was nice, and the old lady was sweet. The room was clean, and it was quiet enough, despite the noise concerns in other comments. Still, I wasn’t happy that my husband booked this place. The room was humid and smelled awful, like a smoking room even though it was listed as non-smoking. The bathroom smell was bad too, and we got lots of mosquito bites. There’s no breakfast. The bedding had a strong bleach smell, and I didn’t even want to think about what kind of people stay there. I couldn’t wait to leave.

The decor feels dated, but the place seemed thoughtfully cared for, and the room was spotless. I’ve had worse cleaning at larger hotels. We got all the essentials, including a full grooming kit with a bath sponge, dental kit, facial cleanser, and facial mask. They also offer a free shuttle if you let them know ahead of time. I’d worried before booking because I thought it might just be a love motel. Instead, after a long day of travel, the old lady welcomed us with Vit C drinks, saying they’d boost our energy. When she learned my sister was sick, she even brought out her medicine box. Thank you.

The room, service, and amenities all exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t have asked for anything better, and I’d happily pay twice the price to stay again. I’ll definitely come back and recommend booking here.
